Hey Buck Fans,
I recently got a model 500 with a damascus blade and bolsters and noticed the blade was slightly different from my other 500's. I didn't think much of this because this was a Custom knife by Buck (one of less than 5)and figured it was just the way it was. I just got another 500 with an anvil date stamp and it is the same shape. I have compared it and the damascus 500 again with my older ones and the difference IS noticeable. The blade is more narrow and it appears the tip does not drop as much. So what gives?? When did the blade shape change?? I don't know if you can tell by the pics, but it is a chance to show it off.

If i go by the old Buck catalogues, the change was made around 1990. To be positive, I will have to research this one some more.
