When did the Buck 303 go to three springs?

I'm new to Bucks and thought only the long pull 303s had two backsprings and brass liners but I recently found an example that proves that wrong.

Can I assume if the middle pin is brass it will have brass liners and two backsprings? What about if the blades are flat ground- will that always mean a two springer as well?

Thanks fellas.

Ok I found one answer here thanks to 300Bucks- looks like 1990 that 303 switched to 3 springs.

Here's another good read.

The other questions still stand though!

The change in blade grind took place a little later, about 1995. Long nail pulls, (French nail nicks), were a feature of some Schrade and Camillus contract knives made for Buck prior to 1986. Buck never made a long nail nick themselves.
