When did the Large Sebenza start to come with BG-42?

The Sebenza used to be made with ATS-34, they switched the steel about the same time as they changed the profile, in 1995-96. There was some overlap, and many of the early new style Sebenzas have ATS-34, including the prototype I have.

So a July 1997 Sebenza is definitely BG-42?!?

Probably, but this knife has ATS-34 and was made early that year.
