When did the Wayne Goddard Jr. Micarta go out of production?

Hey all,

I have been looking high and low for one with a green micarta handle and have come up empty. Was there a short run of these? How many were made? Was there plain and serrated edge? Were they good cutters like the lightweight Goddards. I have not seen much information about these here on the forums.

I would really like to find one for my training SGT. as he lost his. He would be very surprised as he lost his on the job. He's a good guy and has been assisting me in obtaining the arson investigation classes that I want.

I ask about availability because if there is not one to be found I will get him something else.

Magilla,

the Goddard Jr only came plain edge from Mrs. Goddard in a limited run of 500. A few 2nds are out there.

I have a NIB Goddard Jr G2 steel . I have to see if it is green micarta or brown micarta. I think the Micarta versions are better.

Hello,
I found what I was looking for which turned out to be the baby goddard which I had not asked for. I actually found and bought two of them today at a local army surplus store.

I really like this little knife.
