When did Victorinox change their key chain attachment?

My newer SAKs have key chain attachments that appear to be part of the back spring. However, I've got some older SAKs where the key chain attachment is a seperate piece of metal that is about half the width (and has some sharp edges).

When did Victorinox change the key chain attachment to be integral to the back spring?

Interesting. Is there a list of tricks somewhere?

I've noticed that older 91mm models with scissors do not have the hook. Is that another trick?

Keep in mind that most of Victorinox's Alox SAKs still have the sharp aluminum key ring attachment, except the Alox Classic (and possibly other Classic-sized Alox models, if there are any).

The hook wasn't introduced until 1991, there are various lists elsewhere. Some of the things to look for are the style of the awl/reamer. If it doesn't have a hole its pre-85. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a good link that provides all the important dates on the common tools. Perhaps someone else can chip in.
