When do you guys choose a new knife for forum knife 2013?

title says it all, also what are some past knives (and what makes them special) i know this years is the blue skyline with stone wash blade.
 
I don't think tactical folders has one consistently. The skyline was the first ive seen here. Though I am a relativrly new member and as seen above there were some special rifts mentioned. Traditional forums has had a forum knife every year for the past 8.
 
The Skyline has been the first BF knife (besides the traditional's forum knife), the Rift was actually a Benchmade Forum knife (not part of Bladeforums) and it was the first in like 11 years, the second benchmade forum knife ever. Not sure if/when the next Bladeforums knife will happen.

It isn't a yearly event, but sometimes Knifemakers will offer up Forum Editions in the Wilderness & Survival section as well as elsewhere. Sometimes these turn out great, sometimes, not.

Have patience. Even if there is a 2013 version of a knife, you're going to have to wait an entire year before you actually get it in your hands.
