Doesn't seem like there is much available on the Buck site. When does Buck typically release new stuff?

Just from my own observations, besides whatever Buck may have on its own site, limited editions are also offered by -

Buck Collectors Club
Gander Mountain
Smoky Mountain Knife Works
Cabelas
A.G. Russell

There are probably more, but that's all I can think of offhand...

i heard ...
that what buck releases is mostly ordered...
that the customer orders a design on a balde and a handle inlay combo.
they can order a gbh blade with balck etch with ns and wood and fg
they can order a gbh blade with custom on an orgional design,,, or if custom in that design has been ordered by another customer then they can order gbh blade in a 'limited' edition with the same handle and if that was used by a coustomer then they can chouse to use the same gbh balde in reglure issue with their handle as before...
if they comision the orgional design they can reserve to order that same design in all versons of issur ie : custom / limited / reaglure or non limited non numbered /
min order is usley 250 or more depending on complexaty of design..
now if they order a gbh with NS , custom and stag and dont reserve it then~
some one else can order gbh in brass custom and stag
no one else can order the 112 with the curved buck stamp like wally did...
as wally reserved the stamp as i understand , ~ tho i could be wrong and if i am some please correct me !!!
it gave me the answer as to why you see the same blade in custom and limited and non limited issues with differing handle treatments...
if a coustomer orders a design it is for that issue combination... or what ever the coustomer says he wants to pay to reserve that design in all issues...
but most the time i am wrong some how so lets see if Joe comes on in and corrects me ...
after all i am only a man,,, i can chage if i try, and if i want to... maybe...

Very intersting Dave. I will have to re-read that a few times, but I can already see the possibilities. Like a bunch of us on this forum could band together and create a special order? If we could just agree on something.:grumpy:

Almost half a dozen vendors...make that a full half we know of...L.L. Bean...

That's what makes them so limited...

OMG matt are you some kind of mind reader?:D
i was thinking that my self..:D
lets see min min order of 200 if we beg:rolleyes:
so at 100 a knife MOL we need 20 people to buy 10 knives each
so that is 1000 per person...
mummm to many bucks for me ... :foot:
now if we could order 100 that would be
20 people with 5 knives each = 500
or
50 people 2 knives [one to keep one to sell] chip in at 200 each
now that is a fig i can live with :D
