Howard,
No contest - have 3 so far - Pat's standard version is a very, very nice knife, smooth as silk, great grinds on the blade & nice Micarta scales - BUT Rob's Talonite Carnys are in another class due to the cut down handle size which improve the ergonomics & handling, the craftsmanship & attention to detail is as good as it gets, the exotic wood or Carbon Fiber scales are superbly finished & the filework is outstanding. The work he put in on the locking mechanism to make it incredibly smooth & solid is very apparent. I could go on & on but I'll just attach a few pics of mine to show the kind of work Rob is capable of. The wood handle is Australian Ringed Gidgee Wood & the other is Carbon Fiber of course.

Needless to say I like Rob's work though I know if I had had Pat C. make me a fancy one it would have been as good. REKAT does nice work but Rob's & Pat's are in a different league.

One vote for the Crawford Carnivore here.

Those Simonivores are gorgeous, but I will stick with the Crawnivore. The Carnivore was conceived as a defensive knife (I don't think Pat and Bob could conceive anything else), and I don't see using Talonite for a defensive knife. Add'ly, Pat's Carni has a nasty hollow grind with a very nasty edge for maximum zip through leather and all other grades of animal hide. Plus, the Crawnivore has a neat pocket clip that makes quick draws more secure. Finish is tactical grade, but fit is extra fine.
