Hey everyone - I'm new to the forum, but not new to knives.

I've had my eye on a Razel for quite some time now and I just happened to notice on the Graham site that CRKT is going to start offering this knife. Does anyone have any info on this? Maybe when they will start selling them or maybe even prices?

Thanks,
Anthony

I've been wondering this myself. I recently got a large Stars and Stripes, and am quite enamored with it.

Does anyone know if these are going to be flat ground? From the picture on Graham's site they look hollow.

Well, no. But if you can't wait, buy a Cold Steel Recon Tanto in Carbon V and chop the point off to the desired length! :D Actually, I'd be interested in getting one myself depending on the cost, but man, it is ugly!

Oh yeah, it's ugly. I want one though. It looks like a very capable knife. I need something exactly like it, but I'm a little reluctant to spend the $$$$ on a Graham only to beat the crap out of it.

Do you use it a lot? How's it holding up?

I just got it on Saturday, and haven't used it much. Opening boxes, whittling branches into non-existence, etc. It seems like a tough knife though. After using it for a couple of days, you get so used to plunging it into stuff to cut, that other knives seem rather cumbersome. Once I get some time to put scales on it, it may become my favorite knife.

What do you think abou the ring? I've heard mixed reviews on the ring since you can't really beat on it to drive the tip into anything.

For the size of the knife I feel like the ring would really help control it.

That handle looks great. I can't wait to get one of these. I have a few BK&T as my utility knives and they tend to get a bit heavy after a while.

Thanks for your input.

I've not discovered a real use for it yet. It's not really in the way, but not real useful either. Maybe if I had larger hands.

Ok I found out the MSRP prices and figured out the rough street prices for each:

Pocket Razel msrp 89.99 street 54.99
Ringed Razel msrp 99.99 street 59.99
Razel S7 msrp 199.99 street 119.99

Wow - I'm surprised they are going to hit the street that cheap. That makes me pretty happy to see. :D

I called my local knife shop and they said the expected ship date is April some time. I put my name down for the two smaller sizes.

I can't wait till these things are available. My fear is that I'll love them so much that I'm going to push myself to by the Graham models. Well, that's my hope :)

I was quoted prices of $79 and $69 for the two smaller sizes.
