When is the new machax coming out?

Wow-that's a long time away.

well, i wish it were sooner myself :)

but they have to prototype a model or two, and test it, refine it, send it around for testing and acceptance, refine it more, make more prototypes (by hand), program the machines, get the steel (and it'll need some nice wide steel), make some batches, test THOSE... plus paperwork, and catalog photo shoots, adverts, professional reviews... the usual and more. lots of work.

the hard part of naming and number is already done ;)

and they have to do this on top of several other new models coming first...

yeah, it's going to be a little while. i'm guessing that if Toooj were to outline the entire process, we'd be amazed and shocked. it's not as easy as saying "let's just get this new knife out there"...

But it is easy to say "let's just get this new knife out there." The hard part is all the things you've described that have to happen before it's a reality. Reality can take awhile.

I've worked on projects with clients in the past (advertising/marketing) that took well over a year just bringing something simple to market.
