When is the next Khukuri Konvention?

We've been thinking about another Reno convention later in the fall. I want Yvsa to be in attendance because he gives such good sharpening demos so much depends on his visit to Arizona and when he can get up here.

Where's Yvsa?

:
Sorry guys, really wish I could but plans have already been made for a road trip to Pennsylvania the end of this month, Barb's family reunion, and we will be heading out for Phoenix around the middle of November if things go right, another road trip.
And with that much traveling we just won't have the money for anything in between.

And as always our travel plans depend on whether I am up to going or not.
And that can happen almost instantly like it did when we were planning on going to Finn's place while we were in Phoenix. Fortunately Barb had brought my high-powered meds along so we had only one days delay.

A convention between Thanksgiving and Christmas is not a good idea. If we want Yvsa it looks like it may have to be early next year.

Comments? Ideas?

Yvsa,

When are you going to be in PA and where? If your are in the Philadelphia to Reading area and want to meet up let me know. I missed the last Konvention, maybe I could make this one or the next though.

Maybe we should have the convention at Yvsa's place! He could convert his sweat lodge to a temporary barracks!

That'll work, though Barb'll probably be throwing khukuris at the motley crew! ;)

Now that Would Work!!!!!
At our place I mean.:D
We're used to having large crowds of people on Sweat nights and it wouldn't be the 1st time a tent or 2 was pitched in the backyard.
And having it here in Tulsa would be very beneficial because Terry, Sandi and the kids as well as Gregg and perhaps even some of the people from Oklahoma City and Arkansas and other parts of the surrounding area would then be able to make it whereas they wouldn't be able too otherwise!!!!
And Barb says that would be fun!!!!:D:D:D:D
Barb is already talking about getting a canopy for the backyard and borrowing a "picinic" table from her Bro.:D

And if it's planned for around the middle of September the weather is Usually fairly nice as well as it being a beautiful time to be in Oklahoma.:D

We have one fairly large grill and I know where we could borrow a couple of more so we could have one helluva cook out!!!!:D

We are gonna be in the northwestern part of PA in Warren.
Could you drive up there?

It's always neat to meet a fellow forumite!!!!:D

And it's not too far to a place where khukuris can be tested if I can still walk that far and I surprise myself even when it comes to doing some cutting with our favorite large bent knives.:D

And Barb and Sandi both know how to cook great stuff for a LOT of people. Just cooking for Terry is like cooking for a lot of people.

What about having one in Colorado? There are a few if not more Forumites in these parts! It's not really that far from OK either.:)

Catoosa, OK, sounds right to me. Yvsa, would you autograph my "plain" Sanu-made YCS if I bring it?

I have a coin jar that I have set aside just for the trip to a convo :) :)

I haven't been able to make it to the last few... bummer

:
And sharpen it for you as well if it needs it.:D

Bro I think we would need at least as many as there was at Reno last Sept.
And the khonvention needs to be made as available to everyone as Reno was.
Actually I guess it is ainnit?:o

Actually Tulsa/Catoosa has a lot going for it. The Tulsa International Airport is only about 20 minutes from the house and we could probably work something out for anyone coming in by air to be picked up.
I personally couldn't meet anyone at the airline gates, but I could sure be waiting on them at the curb with an air conditioned ride.:D
