I have moran clip point that i convexed (convex starting at 1/3 of edge and blended in ) and absolutely love it.Its my best cutter, but wish spyderco would make another bigger bowie or something along those lines ....possibly in carbon steel!

No idea of when, but unless Sal has a surprise up his sleeve the next Spyderco fixed blade will probably be either the Pekka Tauminen Pukko or the Phil Wilson South Fork, neither of which is a bowie style knife.

The South Fork looks to be mighty sweet! I like puukos...but...the traditional style handle has absolutely nothing to keep you hand from sliding forward onto the blade. The modernized handle on the Finnish Ranger Puukos & some others is much preferable to me...& others fond of their digits.

I'd love to see a big bowie. And 1095 would work fine, and keep the cost down.

As Deacon mentioned, there's a Puukko and the Phil Wilson South Fork. "In-the-works"; a bowie with a Jumpmaster handle (5 X 5 - SG design), A smaller Jumpmaster (Sheepfoot, drop point & leaf variations - SG design), (Australia, Germany legal), A "Pygmy Warrior" (Bob Taylor design).

Sal, any chance of Spyderco revisiting some of the classic FBs like the Perrin Bowie or original Temperance?

Any chance of a sprint run of the Temperance II or Bushcraft with a 3V blade?

Sounds like some very interesting stuff coming! Thanks!

Let me second the idea of a sprint run of the first (5") Perrin. Brown handle maybe. Or you could simply let the spyderhole be the "sprint difference".

AWESOME! I love the jumpmaster handle. Will the bowie be H1 too?

So exciting. :)

Remember how we had a popular thread about a fixed Endura and/or Delica? That's what I'm still thinkin. But bringing back the Street Bowie would be awesome too!

Sal,

What steel will the South Fork be made of?

Also, any chance of a sprint run of the Moran in a high end steel like CTS 20CP, ot M390?

S90V

The nasa bushcraft will probably have the same steel.
Great choice for the south fork, less for the bushcraft.

I would think that a tougher steel such As CPM M-4 would be better suited to so-called "bushcraft."

If the Southfork is indeed offered in S90V, I will certainly purchase one.

I do not intend to imply any disrespect whatsoever to Mr. Wilson's design, but I'd actually prefer to see the Moran in S90V as Spyderco's "new" fixed blade.
