When is the rike mini flipper coming out?

I was just thinking this myself. I want this knife if it's the right price, but the damned thing doesn't look like it will ever be released

I've seen two different totally unsubstantiated sources say around $250 and around $150. If the second I will have one when (if) this gets released. If the first, then... well it was cool to look at.

Blade HQ has it listed at $325 when I put it in my wishlist there. That's a little steep for basically a novelty item, M390 and frame lock or no. Maybe they'll Massdrop it for about $100 off.

Well there is now the Hummingbird model, which has a fancy milled titanium handle, and a Damasteel blade. 1.5" blade length. That has my interest because it comes in green!

Me to I’ve been waiting a long Time to buy that knife then I find out they are $150 I could buy a s110v pm2 for the same price

I'm not too impressed with Damasteel, considering the core material is most likely RWL-34. Kershaw and others have quite managed to coarsen its mystique. Still, at that size it's mostly about the functional and design features included in the tiny presentation rather than blade alloy. I have to admit, tho, I shelled out good money for the MecArmy EK33 Ti flipper, and that one was of marginal quality for its included features.

But these tiny folder collectibles were never about utility. A S110V PM2 sounds right up your alley.

Did anyone get a hummingbird? I have one ordered should be here next week
I got one from Massdrop. It's super fun.to play with, and surprisingly functional, but Damasteel doesn't hold an edge anything like super steels (M390 et al). Better than conventional steels, but once you get to the PM steels it falls behind most of them. Keep in mind one of the steels used in Damasteel is RWL-34, which is basically a refined powder version of 154cm.

It's more or less a functional trinket, I've used it for breaking down cardboard and it held up pretty well considering the size, but I wouldn't use it any harder than you would a small SAK.
