I just finished watching an interesting documentary about the great circus fire
in Hartford CT. July 6 1944. When the big top that was waterproofed with white gasoline and paraffin and went up in minutes.
163 people died in this fire and 200 injured. One man that escaped used his jacknife to cut an opening in the tent
allowing hundreds of people to escape.
I've never heard of another time where a knife saved so many people.
Has anybody heard of a another time when a knife saved lives?
