I have a Tri-angle and a new Warthog V-sharp. I know alot of you like the sharpmaker, but I don't ever seem to have much luck with mine. I tried some pointers from others like cleaning the rods alot more and some others. My problem is that I always get the wire edge on it, no matter what stone medium I use.
This new V-sharp is pretty good, I have really good luck with it and it does a great job, only draw back is the system that guides the blade will scratch and destroy any finish on the blades, even with tape on the guide. I have gotten my new Trident OB-1 to a sharpness that will slice right thru loose tissue paper.
I would really like to figure out WTH is up with the Sharpmaker, I have the diamonds, which I use for reshape and the medium ceramic and the fine ceramic rods for it.
Any suggestions on why the wire?
