Does anyone remember what year was it?
There was a limited run of 3/16 satin SJs produced.

The gen III handle SJ LE was released in 2001 to the best of my knowledge..

I love the old Jacks but hate the TACs ...

That was 2001, but original LE was 0.25. Later, how much later I don't remember another LE came out, 3/16. Which is my favorite SJ so far. That's the one I am trying to date...

i recently bought one that is 3/16ths it has black coating and what looks like olive green and black micarta grips is this a LE model? The straight handle feels great and will make a great hunting/survival/woods knife. I do construction and while on the job carried it for a couple of days, came in very handy for a number of things seems like a great knife any idea how many were put out or how much their worth now? I paid 460 for mine with a great leather sheath included how did I make out?

AFAIK LE's were satin finished. 2x Sating Jacks so to speak :)
As for your deal I dunno brother, I have been out of infi world for a long time and have no clue about today's prices.

There seems to be several variations of the original Satin Jack LE

1/4" full height grind
1/4" saber grind

3/16" saber grind

Mine is closer to .22 and full height grind with black paper micarta, convex edge.

There were both black paper and black canvas micarta handles.

All were satin finished. Most numbered, at least one got out without a number, its sitting safely in my collection.

do you mean the zero tolerance versions?

i have no idea when they came out... I'd suspect around 2002, just before I got here, but I could be off by years.

I thought all of the le's were .220, and the zero tolerance was the only 3/16" satin version from the shop.

The ZTSJ was the only ZT model that WASN'T 3/16ths. They were the full 1/4.

There are at least a couple 3/16th SJLEs that came with snakeskin.

Here's a 3/16ths SJLE with Black Paper that went to Chicago, the 3/16ths Snakeskin that went to Portland, and the 1/4 custom that stayed home:
