When will knife makers learn!!!!

Why, with this new information you have provided me. I am deeply angered.

"They drew first blood, not me! They drew first blood."

...and where the heck is the compass in the handle, along with fish hooks, and matches. Oh yeah, and the emergency first-aid sewing needle in case I'm being chased by Pacific Northwest Sheriff deputies and I gotta jump off a cliff into some trees...

I think the tactical knife has been quite a boon for the cutlery industry and has made collector's, makers, etc, out of a whole lot of folks.

Puma makes an excellent knife, if you don't care for that particular model, then don't purchase it.

And if somebody buys that thing, his or her opinion counts for more than mine.

To answer the question why I think this going too far, This knife seems to have accumulated every possible fad and gimick into one knife and it appears to be void of any functionality. If anyone owns one or has handled one please let me know.

Except for the chisel grind, I think it is almost perfect for the next B movie, sci-fi, late show classic about either an armored monster or a psycho slasher.

Don't know about anyone else but, aside from the Tanto Blade, and the two fingered nightmare retention system I LOVE it! I'm having a custom done that will be similar with a subhilt. That is just one of the many types of knives I like. I am not in a profession where I can carry anything more than a Calypso Jr (and even that is pushing it) so I buy stuff I can take with me hiking and camping or just 'admire' in general. I do mostly family style camping now but before that and hopefully again in the future I will do the hardcore stuff where you hike up 8-10 miles and from then on it is all about YOU! You fall down and hurt yourself so bad you can't go on, you simply kiss your butt goodbye cause no amount of yelling 'anything' is gonna help...... And in those situations a tactical style blade can be your best friend, your ambulance, your paramedic, your doctor, etc..... Despite how civilized this world seems there are still some VERY difficult wilderness areas and tactical style blades are great in those situations and NOT everyone makes it out..... Just read the Rocky Mountain News Obits. and you'll see what I mean. People die EVERY year cause they are unprepared and think real life is too much like TV and they can just 'waltz off into the woods and come back unscathed'. NOT true! Not by a LONG shot! I'm not saying the Rambo situation was anything but a good idea for a movie but when I head out I cover my butt in a number of ways and a knife like that is something I would readily grab onto. First, look at the full tang construction, the grind lines and imagine the strength of that tip and what a good spear it would make if needed, then the handle material and ergonomic design of the handle in general, the lower guard to keep your fingers from sliding up if it was wet with water, sweat, or blood (cause a little boo boo can be deadly without Mommy, Bactine, and Bandaids readily available
wink.gif
).... The carry system looks good and is secure but not 'quick' on the draw which makes it perfect for camping hiking situations and will dry quickly once wet! I looked at the knife for about 40 seconds and that is what I saw so I guess it is all in your perspective. When I'm out and about in the Community I carry normal stuff but for camping, there is nothing better than a big ol knife like that one there!

That's what a tactical knife is suppose to be. It's not suppose to look traditional. I'm not a big fan of modern knives, but this one is pretty interesting. I guess it's Puma throwing it's hat into the tactical ring.
THANKS!!!

Hey, I'd be proud to accidentally stab myself in the leg with that!
It says "HANDMADE" right on the handle!

That means, that someone with incredibly neat handwriting wrote that there with a really sharp pen (which I'd probably be proud to stab me with as well!) not to mention the fact that the holes can be used to attach a big stick to, so's ya can use it to stab things at a greater distance (or yourself, if the kinfe was on the other side of the room, and you were in a particularly lazy mood that day).

Saying "you're welcome" in advance to all those that have been enlightened by my insightful response,
I remain,

It is the Ugliest knife that I have ever seen.

Thats All I can say except SHAWN! You really think that thing looks like a great camping knife? Get real. That thing was designed for the urban jungle and phantom battles with imaginary foes. Not survival in the wilderness. On the other hand, your comments are pretty funny. I guess you were kidding, right?

If you think that is the handle, you sure must cut yourself a lot!
