When will my account be activated?

I signed up on the Spyderco forum on Spyderco's main site but I'm still not able to reply to post or start a new one. Everytime I try to do either of the two I get this message

"CharlesIV, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."


Any help on this matter will be of great help to me

When Kristi, the moderator over there, has the chance to activate it. Normally, that's just a couple days, but she wears a lot of hats. I'm not sure, but she may have been at the IWA show in Germany this past weekend, or be wearing even more hats than normal because part of the crew was over there.

Perhaps. ;) Otherwise something definitely went wrong. I know it's been taking longer than normal, for the reason I mentioned. But I also believe Kristi got all the pending ones activated a few weeks back. Did you get the Action Required email? If so, did you respond to it? Don't know for sure if it's the case with the Spyderco forum, but with some forum software that step is time sensitive, if you don't respond within a couple days, it expires. Or were you trying to register by sending an email asking to register with a free (non-ISP) email account and never got any reply at all?

I signed up about a month ago and it took probably a week for mine to get activated.

WOW, I just got confirmation that I am now activated!

Apparently the stink was not the problem.

You're welcome. No, no stink... just needed that pesky confirmation e-mail. ;)

I'm half way through about 100 current registrants. If I've missed anyone else, hang in there... been traveling and just plain buried.

I'm working on some possible changes to the forum and how new registrations are handled. The volume has increased greatly in the past 5 years. Both in valid registrations and spammers. I'll post an update on the site forum when I have a few things settled.

I registered last week (I think) and I am still waiting as well. No biggy.
 
if i only have a free email account will i not beable to make an account on the spyderco forums?
