When will the 2010 LE's show up at dealers?

I am interested in purchasing a 3rd Sebenza after getting a large 2008 LE and great customer service from CR.

I understand the two LE choices are Camphor and Spalted Maple. I would like to see the finished product before ordering.

Either that or a large African Blackwood, then sell my small regular and get another large.

They usually show up around November - December. Just in time for Christmas!

I've just spotted a couple of 2010 Large Sebenzas with Camphor inlay. It looks to be an attractive coloured wood with a well detailed grain.

There's new writing on the rear scale 'IDAHO MADE' which I am not too fussed about, to be honest. I'm not certain in my mind whether it's the text style or the very fact that it's just there, but it looks tacky to me.

And although it's nothing new these are the first annuals I have seen with the new double headed screws. I loved the screws reversed, especially on these ones, as they seemed to look so good with the big slab of inlay.

Ah well, everything changes, doesn't it.

Where did you see them, Mark? I'd like to take a look.

Hello,

The ones I spotted are with Travis at Edged Specialties;

I have been looking at them a fair amount since this afternoon and really do love that Camphor wood - it's got great character. Along with the Mammoth, it's maybe one of my favourites to date. But, I still have to say that I believe the new overall styling (writing and screws) is a step back.

But that's my own opinion, of course, and means very little.

That camphor wood is intriguing. It's much darker than I anticipated, but still has a nice grain and look to it.

I also like the idea behind having 'Idaho Made' on each blade, but I'm not sure I like the look of it on that particular knife. I think the way they did it on the Wilson Combat Zaans looked much better.

Hmm! Changes, changes.

I like the screws, not so much the writing. The wood has a great color and grain to it though! Love the swedge too.
