When you carry the same knife for a while...

It's funny. I've been carrying my Svord mini Peasant for over 3 months now. These days, when I reach into my pocket, I expect to feel that knife. When I think of using a knife, I picture the mini Peasant in my hand. Last Sunday, I was at my in-laws' house with some food that needed cutting. I thought of the wide blade of the mini and how well suited it would be for use as a spatula. I reached into my pocket and remembered I'd packed a Victorinox Bantam that day. The Bantam has a bit smaller blade, so I aborted my plan. As soon as I got home, the mini Peasant was back in my pocket. It's just too hard to adapt once you get used to something ;)

I do the same thing. I carry a BM mini grip about 90% of the time. Every time I need a knife, I reach for my pocket expecting to feel the familiar handle, and am surprised whenever its something else. I'm a highschool student and not allowed to carry a knife at school, but even then I find myself reaching for my pocket when something needs cutting, even though nothings clipped there. :D

Someday you'll graduate and be free from that politically correct B.S.;)
