You have all heard me say keep checking the stores that used to sell the old Schrades (especially chain stores) because old stock Schrades seem to pop up unexpectedly.
Yesterday I was in Vancouver Washington at a Bimart store, (I had been in this store without finding any Schrades several times in the last 9 months). Bimart is an employee owned chain in the Pacific NW. I went into the store for something not even related to knives, but I had to swing by the knife counter out of habit. They had all Benchmade knives on sale 20% off. I decided it was a good time to buy a Steigerwalt, made by Benchmade for NRA. It is the closest thing Benchmade makes to a slipjoint. While the clerk was getting the box, I checked the knives they had on closeout. There was a nice Winger Highlander with a 1/2 serrated blade for less than $5. I said I would take it also. The clerk got into a carton behind the counter to find the box for the closeouts. In the box was a Uncle Henry box. In the box was a perfect 5UH with sheath & papers for $9.98. Needless to say I bought it.
