...you are carrying a concealed "dirk, dagger, or bowie"? Or not? If your carry a FB is this something that concerns you? This summer I was carrying a little 2" Dozier "neck knife" on my belt. I went to wear it this weekend and realised I would be wearing it under a winter coat. Hmmmm. Now I don't know if it is a "dirk", a "dagger", or a "bowie", but I'm thinking it is one of them. Or do I have this all wrong? The VA statutes make no mention of blade length.

Doesn't concern me at all. I live in the GREAT state of Texas where the legal limit on a knife is 5.5" of blade length, folder or fixed, concealed or not. The only limitations I know of are: no swithblades, no double edged knives, and the length limit.

I usually carry a Greco Companion or a Livesay Air Assault. Both are pretty big fixed blades. (around 5" blade length) If I have a jacket on it doesn't really matter.

Texas also has a law that says you can carry a blade longer than 5.5" if you are hunting. If I'm carrying my Battle Mistress, I'm ALWAYS hunting! Just kidding, but I really do carry it in rural areas with no fear.
