Here's a good lesson learned. When in your own mind you are thinking, this is dangerous, heed your own warning. I was trying to partially open all four blades of my new 322 to pose it for a picture and thought to myself, I'm going to get cut doing this, but I tried it anyway. Ouch! Maybe I should open my own fortune telling establishment!

What is it with Buck knives ? They seem to be the only ones I cut myself with :D

Every time I would touch up an edge on a 110, never a 112, I would get cut

BTW, thats a nice lookin Congress

Not to belittle your injury, but, where'd you come by a four blade congress from Buck? Didn't know they ever made one.

Jack

Good thing your tough Dave!!! Which blade got you? Looks like a sweet knife!
I need to look around the house here and see if theres any cut resistant filleting gloves here :D

I managed to snag one off eBay a couple of years ago but Dave's knife is the only other one I've ever seen. I seem to remember someone credible say it was a SMKW's special made for them by Camillus in the mid-90's. I think it was 300Bucks that told us that.

Dave when's was your last tetanus shot?

According to what I've read, it was made in 1995 by Camillus for SMKW's. There's also a yellow handled version.

If you're going to be dumb you got to be tough! The bigger blade on the right side got me. I opened it about to the angle it's at in the picture, then started to open the little pen blade on the same end. My nail slipped out of the nick and bingo, I'm a blood doner! That little pin blade has a very strong spring and it takes a good pull to open it.

Don't you think Buck should be required to put some kind of warning on the boxes to keep idiots like myself from harming themselves? ;)

My brain often tells me things that I then override and sometimes wish I hadn't. But sometimes the override turns out good, so I never know.

That Buck congress makes you wish that Buck would put it back in thier line of knives. Sure does seem to have a few people interested in it. Sweet looking knife Dave, just be careful with it. HL

Well I just had go look and see if a 322 was for sell somewhere (;)guess where)...and yes there is one.

Dang Dave it looks like OJ paid you a visit.:eek:Sharp knife!:)

Nice knife (wound)!!!
and the knife aint bad either. Didn't your mom ever teach you to not play with knives. YA, I didn't listen either, a little super glue and you will be as good as new. Be careful nex time.

Awe Grasshoppers, your training is going well,

Yes, there is two, Black as shown and very rare yellow. No model number on knife, only Buck on two blades. From the beginning of the end era of Camillus. More rare than knife is a SMKWs catalog from when it was sold.........I know of only one Buckaholic that saved his catalogs....
not me.

certainly the mark of a true buck fan who would be willing to bleed that much for a fresh bright red backdrop.
spectacular results with the knife photo though!
it was well worth the shock.
hope it heals soon enough,
