Y'know...The one with the Zytel handles, Spydie hole, and drop point blade? Supposed to be an entry-level knife, but it looks great to me.

I wouldn't care if the blade were made of aluminum... An Axis design like that could keep my from wasting my time and money on linerlocks.

Man, I hate smileys.

Last I heard, they are in production right now. I haven't been informed of a delivery date yet.

I love the look, that knife needs an upgrade! At least G-10 and ATS-34. How long is the blade? I see two versions, a full size with about a 3 1/4 to 3 5/8 inch blade and a Jr model of about 2 3/4 inches blade length. That would be a great practical user.

Guys - time for an update:

According to a Benchmade rep, the Pre-Production models of Mel Pardue's model 550 Griptilian have just begun shipping out to brick-and-mortar dealers.

I saw that new Benchmade in Blade. Apparently they decided to uprade the steel to 440C. I think that is a great choice since it seems that BM wants to use something that is cheaper to grind than 154CM.

great.

there goes another 90 bucks...

:-)

seriously, though, what kind of price can we expect to pay from an online dealer?
