I haven’t needed epoxy for a while now. My acraglas is running low so I went shopping… no one has it in stock. I don’t want the little kit, I want the 28/7oz like I always get. I can’t find it anywhere. Is everyone using it for knives and bedding the action in every gun they own or what!?! Brownells is where you always get it cause they have the best price.

Unfortunately, the formula for Acraglass changed last year and it doesn't have the strength it once had. It also dries the color of mayonnaise. I called the tech department and was told that they were advised the formula had not changed, but they knew it had, and had several complaints. They refunded me. I was a loyal user of Acraglass for years. Perhaps the formula issue has something to do with the shortage.

I didn't use my last couple batches of acraglass because it had changed. The adhesion is poor and it hardens white. It isn't any good anymore. I moved to West systems.

The acraglas always worked great for me, probably cause I haven’t bought any new for a while. Guess I’ll be switching. West systems seems to be the favorite.

Acraglas isn't any good anymore, don't waste your money.

I have gallons of it here that I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

It has poor adhesion now because it releases an oily film. And it turns white. I'd use it for temporary fixturing (when you want it to release) but it's too thin and too slow for that.

I'm kind of surprised it still works for its intended use bedding rifles. Sure, it will release from the barrel better but I'm not sure how it holds up to recoil on the stock without coming loose. It's a baffling change and I hate to see a good product ruined.

Fortunately, we have other excellent options. I like West systems with 105. With proper surface prep, this stuff is unstoppable.

When I talked to the tech person at Brownells they told me the formula had not changed (official response), but he said they all knew something was not right. They were quick to offer a refund. He stated the gunsmiths we're also not happy with it because of the color change. I have a feeling one of their suppliers or their suppliers suppliers made a change they didn't think would matter. I don't know a gunsmith that hasn't been using it for bedding rifles. It was always the best option, and I'm sorry to see it. I am happy I tried West though, because I think it's a better product than the old formula.
