Nice twist on a common question! Today I am carrying my Case Trapper (yellow CV), in my coin pocket. Don't really care if its tip up, or tip down. Dont expect to have to draw it fast (got the XD on my hip for that). Of course, my BK11 rides in left back pocket, spine toward outter edge of pocket.
Ring-less SAKs in the right front pocket. Vic small Tinkers on a carabiner on my belt with my keys (NOT a belt loop). Cara Cara 2, in my back pocket on the right of the pocket tip up OR between my belt and pants around 4 o'clock. It really disappears in the last one. I never, ever carry anything 3ish" plus in my front pocket. Never! Folders clipped to front pockets just scream "look at me!!! I think I'm a badass!!"
I discovered pocket clips sometime just over 20 years ago, I've carried one in my right front pocket almost every day since, mostly tip down except for the few years when I carried a Benchmade mini-griptilian.
Tip up, right rear pocket with my wallet. After 15 years of carrying a knife that's just what's most comfortable. You do need to accept that your going to jack up your clips tho.
Usually it’s a small fixed blade in the CCW holder of my Maxpedition Remora since I usually have that on me. When it’s a folder though it’s tip up right front pocket.
CS spartan right rear pocket
BM Grip or ZT0200 right front pocket
Leatherman in belt pouch
CS Urban Pal hanging from belt left side just into my left front pocket.
Benchmade 530 Tip up, left rear pocket usually. Easy to get to and feels right. If im wearing shorts it usually ends up in a side pocket lower on the pant leg.
