I just go a 110 from wallmart. its marked as 2008, i believe (arrow pointing down).

is it likely made in China or in the USA?

i see that its clearly marked USA but what's the real story?

does USA refer to location of it manufacture or only of its parent company offices?

Hello,
ALL 110 Folding Hunters are made right here in Idaho, not 30 feet from where I am sitting as I type this. :)

all folding hunters are made in the US of A!!!
only a few slippies were made cross the pond
and thoes not for long

yep sir re ya got a fer real usa mans knife!

Made in the USA! That's why I have owned and carried Buck knives since 1975 when I was allowed to carry my 110 to school! We never considered stabbing each other with our knives when I was growing up in Southern Ohio.

thanks.

I thought I would ask since I have a bias to North American made stuff in general. for me it makes sense to buy American/Canadian first if at all possible.

its a great knife so far as are all of my bucks.

they come in handy here in Canada for camping and cottaging in North Ontario. that's for sure.

thanks again. :)

I think that you would be surprised at the hidden masses of Canadians who have grown up with Buck knives. I am one of them.

Those were the days when kids showed respect and knew how to spell. I miss them.

Same here in suburban NY, I carried a 110 with no problems in school.

Hey Canadian friends, what is cottaging?

cottaging is the Canadian verb that describes the act of going to and hanging out at the cottage you rent/own near an Ontario lake. this means canoeing, camping, hiking, etc all in the area of the cottages.

for me its a rental in Temagami, about 90 minutes north of North Bay Ontario. from Hamilton that is a five/six hour drive right past to 'cottage country' and its Tornto crowds and into Northern Ontario.

that is far enough away that i can see the Milky Way from there at night and the stars reflected int eh lake water.

nice...
