One of my favorite knives!!

Great question !! I am looking for a long time now a #38 whittler, everywhere online is out of stock. Was it short run? or did you guys bought them all ?

Mike

Here are 3 of the 4 I have.

A very fine pattern indeed in my view, the backspring on the Whittler variant is a masterpiece of finish. Regret not being able to get a Northfields bone or an Ivory Bone Lick Creek. This is the frame I would like to have seen on the Forum Knife 16 with an unusual blade combo such as Drop-Point or Spear and a small Pruner as the secondary.

Thanks, Will

I fear we may have bought them all up Mike, unsurprisingly:D:D:cool: A very worthwhile pattern that I do hope GEC will put out some more examples, including some with unusual blade combinations on single-spring.

Thanks, Will

I'd love to see them do some unusual blade set ups as well. Something like a wharnclife main with small clip and Spey blade secondaries!

I'm not a fan of split spring whittlers, but this sure is a nice frame. I wouldn't mind seeing some other blade combos with this one as well.

Farmer Jacks are my favorite because they are so darn asymmetric and shapely:

But I also like Whittlers. I'm thinking of carrying this one and making it a routine carry:

It's nice to see some love for the pruner blades. Seems like most people really dislike them. I find them very useful though. There's some great pictures here.

Would love to see one of the sea foam or was it called neptune? Acrylic whittlers here! I kick myself for passing that one up.

Obligatory Cloud Shield pic on the Che Chen Rosewood:

Great finishing work on the springs:

Blades extremely well fitted:

I've been looking for a rosewood or Ebony for some time now. I was lucky enough to get my 38 from MR. Krein. The regrind really makes this knife for me.
