Shortly after the 9/11 tragedy, it seemed as if every car, building and person were showing the American flag in support of our war on terrorism. Now I don't see them as much ... and at a time when our troops are increasingly going to find themselves in harms way!

I'm not in the military, but I've already had a number of friends and colleagues in the reserves get told to pack, because their units are being activated. I think that it is extremely important that we as a nation keep this issue as active as it was two months ago so that national and international support for our military personnel doesn't fade.

Sorry to be off topic, but this is important...

It's off topic, but in case anyone is interested - at the site of the WTC in NYC, they've put up a seven flag display up on the building across the street: American, USMC, US Army, US Navy, USAF, USCG, and NY State. Its the only really positive thing to look over at these days.

Like you said it may be off topic.....but important.
My entire street is ablaze with The Stars and Stripes. Every house has a flag. Being next door to Eglin AFB, and Hurlburt Field, all my neighbors are SOG members and Pilots of somekind. But I think the local kids have been messing with my Flag because I have found it on the ground twice in 2 weeks and it could only have been vandalism.
I'd like to see them mess with it today !!! Keep em Flyin !!

Just about every house in my neighborhood and car has at least one flag on it. Some cars have as much as 4 flags. Antenna, two windows and rear window.
