Where are all the lefty folders at?

Kershaw has been coming out with some really nice knives lately. I'm impressed with the choice of materials and the designs are awesome. But....it boggles my mind why more of these new designs are not truely left-hander friendly. Sure, they can all be opened lefty but the clips are on the wrong side, the locks are on the wrong side. An interchangeable clip does not make a folder a lefty!

So, Thomas...this new Tyrade model....can a brother get a true lefty version?

Well, looks like I won't be buying Kershaw anytime soon. What a shame. I really liked the direction their line was taking.

Ken,

I'm also a "lefty", but I've found that I can adapt to this (damn) right-handed world. I have found that the QUALITY and inovation of the Kershaw knives are worth the hassle of having the pocket-clip on the wrong side of the handle...In-fact, enough to take me away from the very "lefty-friendly" Benchmade folders that I once so loved. Take the plunge and buy yourself a Chive or a Leek and you'll see what I mean.

As an aside, I never did like/trust liner-locks 'till I received both a Chive and a Junkyard Dog II yesterday, and those 2 knives have changed my mind on liner-locks, as both are solid, and "not a problem".

Dann,

I carry everything on my strong side. Pistol, knife.....it doesn't matter. I do everything lefty. It is not easy for me to try and adapt to the right-handed mindset. Being lefty is something I was born with and with it being a genetic trait, hard to overcome. I think's it's a shame that we have to bow to the right handed world. Actually, it just plain ol' sucks.

I hate to think that a company would put cost above it's customers. Kershaw made the Random Task lefty for a brief period. When that came out I picked up several. I think making a small run of lefty folders or more ambidextrous folders would not be a bad thing.

This southpaw agrees very strongly with this statement

My wife has a couple of Kershaws and they're well built knives. But they're totally useless to me. So Spyderco and SOG get my money. I mean really, how much more would it cost to put an ambi stud and clip on a knife?
