Those are the budget class Benchmades made in Taiwan to keep costs down. All others are made in the U.S.

What he said, but the red class line is still pretty well made and at reasonable costs.

The Griptilian rocks (especially the Ritter RSK). I recommend getting one then asking where its made. First things first, you know.

BTW - Oregon City is an interesting place. It is not far south of Portland, and was the original capital of Oregon. There is a road leading up to a river which is said to be the end of the Oregon Trail, and there is an Oregon Trail Museum nearby.

Beautiful lush green country.

Seen Taiwan, too - NASTY! A great place to catch "Confucius's Revenge". Knives are cheap, but I would much rather support beautiful Oregon City.

Thanks yall, the model I`m planning on getting is the 551s with the partially serrated blade, thumb stud, satin finish, and black handle. I dont like the ones with holes as one hand opening mechanisms. I also dont really like the black coating, just doesnt really appeal to me. thanks again
