I`m getting an endura and wanna find out where its made. I don`t really care where its made but just wanna know. Everbody swares by them so I made up my mind what I`m gonna get myself for christmas. Next year I`m gonna save up for a swamp rat.

my Manix says Golden, Colorado, Earth.

As opposed to Golden on Mars...they don't make the knives in *that* Golden :D

The Native that I purchased last month at Walmart has the same inscription. My son likes his because he wants to support our home planet manufacturers. The Martian workers in Total Recall were really victimized by The Man.

The Endura is Made in Seki City, Japan as are many spyderco knives. They also produce knives in Golden, Colorado and a few are made in Taiwan, Italy and possibly some other places I forgot to mention.

Spyderco has 2 factories, 3 if you include Byrd knives. The best stuff is made in the CO factory, and everything else is made in Seki, Japan...like the Endura. There are a few exceptions, the only one I can think of is the Salsa that is made in Taiwan.

Spyderco doesn't have "a factory" in Japan per se. A number of Seki City, Japan knife makers manufacture knives for Spyderco. Spyderco and the Seki City makers have had a long relationship (over 20 years if I remember correctly from one of Sal's posts) since they were first introduced to each other by Al Mar.

Seki City is an OEM manufacturer that has close bonds to spydie. There used to be a German collaboration (Ti Herbst) and Italy with Fox knives
