Where are the Chinook III's?

Anyone know where to find these? I already emailed New Graham and a few other usual places -- apparently they just have the hollow grind version...

One possible problem may be that it isn't actually called a Chinook III by Spyderco, so if you call asking for the Chinook III you will always get a negative reply. If you call a store that provides good service they will check, but if you get a knownothing person who looks only at the computer inventory there will not be a Chinook III. It is just the Chinook II with a flat ground blade. As the hollow grind sells out, stores will restock with the flat grind. Good luck on your quest.

No Chinook III's. There is a Chinook II and a Chinook II with a Flat Grind.

Try Ebay several stores have them.

That is if you trust them.

If I were you I would call New Graham and ask if they have any of the flat ground Chinooks.

Both the flat grind (new version) and hollow grind (old version) are still in the product pipeline. We have had the flat grinds, but currently have only hollow grind versions. More are due in next week, but I do not know if I will receive the flat or hollow versions....will have to check the blades when they arrive.

I just wrote 'Chinook III' on the title since I knew the regulars here would know the term... In all my emails I specifically asked for the new Chinook II with the flat ground blade.

Thanks for the help -- I'll check with New Graham again in a week, had good luck with them in the past
