Where are the CLB models made?

I just received my CLB MPT and saw the China stamp on the blade :(, I was under the impression that they were made in Taiwan. Not to big of a deal to me, as I really didn't look to hard to see where they made, nor do I care much now, as the knife is very impressive, both in F&F and performance. Anyways, has the CLB production moved to China, or have they always been produced there?

Thanks.

Howzit darthsoaker,

NO...they have not always been made in China. Prior to Boker finding the China manufacturer, my initial models were made in Taiwan. In fact, IIRC, the SUBCOM and all it's Variants (SFV's) as well as the TRANCE are still made in Taiwan.

China seems to be the route many are taking as of late. They are doing an excellent job though...that darn RAMPAGE I got is proof of that. I know a lot of folks are upset about the business' moving to China, but I won't "go there"...

I am here to discuss knives, not politics.;)

God bless and enjoy that MPT...I got mine rigged to a MercHarness (www.mercop.com).

I agree.

As I said, the performance is great. Not that I can't find things to b1tch about, but for the price there isn't any better. The sheath is excellent, esp. for an injection molded one.

The design is great, and considering that I have smaller hands, it works even betterl.

Any chances of a larger fixed blade?
