Where are the Cold Steel SK-5 knives made?

According to the few online shops that list country of origin, the SK-5 stuff is being produced in China.

I looked at a Laredo Bowie at knife store recently, hoping it was the "old stock" of Carbon V. While it's not the quality of the old, American-made Carbon V models, the SK5 is of very good quality. It is a product of the Peoples Republic of China, and, while it might not be the same, remember the price point of the new model is much, much lower. All in all, a decent trade off.

I do wish the blade still said America.

God bless you, America, and our men and women overseas.

I have an original Carbon V Recon Scout and also a new SK-5 version. Hard to tell the difference honestly from a cosmetic aspect, perfect grind lines and razor sharp. The coating may be different but looks almost identical. I plan on abusing the SK-5 piece and the low price made it very attractive.

A. G. Russel web site says the knife is made in China and the Sheath is made in Germany.

I thought that the original style Bushman was made somewhere else. I was excited when the Bushman Bowie came out and ordered it for my son and the quality was not what it was on my original Bushman.
