I have searched and searched but cannot find any. Does anyone know where I can find a waved Endura or Delica?

Also any comments from owners would be helpful.

I must not know how to search, but all of the ones near the top on google were out of stock. I got one ordered from new graham. Thanks for your help. How does the wave feature work - is it just gimmicky or is it reliable? Functionally I understand how it works, just not sure on the real world performance.

I received one from NG a week ago. The wave is reliable if you know how to use it. Practice and pocket design play a huge factor into it though. I like it alot, but for me it's a 'fun' attention getter. It took me about 5 tries to get it down..then I took a shower and changed jeans...I was back to square one. For SD, in theory it should make for a quicker deployed means of protection...but this is highly dependent on skills, opportunity, etc. etc. I defer to others on that aspect.

Pushing the knife a little sideways while deploying it should make it open reliable and fast. Deploying while sitting takes a little more practice.

Just got 30 Waved Enduras and 30 Waved Delicas today. Will have on site directly.
Regards, Mike

They have some awesome stuff. Really like the Emerson Stuff. My waved Endura is on the way from them.

QFT. Rotating it a few degrees counter-clockwise helps immensely. But be aware that this is harder on your pants. Too much practice and you'll stretch out a pocket. And believe me, you'll be playing with it a lot early on.

Alway go through NGK first. Fast. Affordable. Reliable.
They didn't have any at the time. Savson is also fast, afforadable, and reliable. He can't help when he gets his shipments in.

I personally really like the wave feature, especially the larger "tsunami" wave that Spyderco uses. It does take one or two tries because it doesn't work so well if you try to pull it open slow, and it doesn't work as well for 'vertical' pockets, but it still can be done. As I said, I really like the wave, but I think it's possible largest restriction is that using it takes a specific motion with your arm and if that particular motion is blocked off at the time it might make things a little difficult.

Other than that, I find the wave perfectly reliable ... I dunno, the mechanism just makes perfect sense to me. :D

what is a waved endura? does it have emerson's wave deployment so it catches on your pocket to deploy and didn't emerson patent that?

It's the new Endura 4 platform with the Emerson Wave. So yes. And yes, Emerson holds a patent. Spyderco worked out a deal to use it. The blades are etched with Emerson's name and the wave patent number. It is one heck of a collaboration and one heck of a knife.

AWESOME KNIFE!!! This is the most impressive knife I've had in a while. The functionality of it is absolutely beautiful. I had a busy day today and was able to give it a good workout in the warehouse. I used it to cut boxes, tape, packing straps, hoses, belts..... and it performs flawlessly as expected. The blade show no signs of dulling. All I have done is put a 20 degree microbevel on it with the Sharpmaker for better edge strength.

I have always carried Endura's for work and already knew what a workhorse it is, but the wave feature kicked it up to another level. Everyone where I work wants one after seeing it in action.

Anyone else who is wondering about the wave feature...Don't wonder, get one. It makes using your knife more efficient by limiting the number of movements required to get your blade open. I am constantly grabbing for my knife and like a blade the is assisted open or just fast to open (Like a regular spyderco), but this takes it to a new level. This design truly is poetry in motion.

I wish it wasn't under patent however and could be used on more knives. But then again Mr. Emerson deserves it for creating such a simple design that works great.

Order just placed from NGK! I look forward to trying the wave feature.

Wave question: How "reliable" is it, as in under a stress situation? Pretty sure-fire or iffy?

Remember, if it doesn't "wave" open coming out of pocket, just thumb it open like every other Spyderco in the history of mankind.

Extremely reliable. I have not had a malfunction yet. I hear it does depend on pocket design some. I've tried it on jeans and shorts (With a knife pocket) and it works great with either. Only problem I've got is that my wife cringes every time I reach for my knife - she thinks I'm going to cut a finger off. I showed her how it works and even she was impressed by the simplicity on this design.
