Where are the Granton grinds at?

So I’ve noticed a distinct lack of Granton ground (styled?) blades on the market, they’re really only available in chefs knives. I think I would be really interesting to see on some folders, seems like a niche that needs filling…. I mean the whole point is reducing friction between the blade and material, and who doesn’t want that?

What do y’all think? Would you be interested in Granton ground folders? Just seems like it hasn’t been explored in folders, someone out there should.
 
I've not really noticed a real difference on kitchen knives that have it vs don't have it. I guess I'd be curious to try it on a broad bladed folder, but I feel like the benefit to cost ratio to would be pretty unfavorable.

Both seem to stick the same to me.

That was what I was thinking. I had one and wondered how it would be to sharpen. Didn't keep it long enough for that though. That blade was heavy! And I worried about if the detent could keep it shut.

Kershaw had a folder with a textured blade but I can't remember the name.

The scallops in combination with the grind geometry do help food not stick to the blade of the CPK potato knife. I'm not sure about a folder with a thicker traditional v grind.

There’s a couple of Kershaws that meet your description. They are RJ Martin designs. Zing, Groove and Groove Tanto. I had a Groove, I don’t know what I did with it. But that was 10ish years ago.

The groove, that is what I was thinking of, thanks. Had one for a bit put wasn't for me and sold it. Can't say how it cut.

It didn’t cut all that well. I looked it up because you brought it up and sent me down a rabbit hole until I remembered what it was.
 
Here's my Kershaw Zing. I honestly don't know whether the grooves reduce friction or not either. I have carried it a little bit throughout the years but not enough to tell you that yes it does make cutting a little easier, or no it doesn't.
