The does seem to be a "changing of the guard."
Speaking just for me, I do check in here from time to time, but not with the several times a day urgency that I had a year ago.
Give all the moderators credit for keeping the membership growing.

There was a gentleman from Taiwan, I believe, that used to post frequently. Mr. Hsu if I recall correctly. Anyone know what has become of him?

I'm still here, but admittedly, I don't post too often ever since I moved to Indonesia. We don't have unlimited internet (and local phone) access here, so...

I heard some of the Old Members went to bed early and are sleeping late

There are sort of waves or cycles of posting by some folks. If you are worried about someone, search up a post of theirs, and write them an email and say What's Up?

One of my favorite old time posters recently woke up from a long nap. Turns out she has been quite ill. She is Feeling better now and posting a little.

Paracelsus, noticing that WHAT BFC IS changes all the time. Idiots come and go. Wise folks come and go. And some folks never seem to go home to sleep. Yawn.

I don't know if I am an oldie or not but I like to read a lot and if some one needs some advice or alternative suggestions, then I will post. I always enjoy helping some one that needs it. As far as being able to suggest a certain knife to buy, if it isn't a neck knife or forged blade, some one else that has the type of knife they are looking for will need to comment on that. As for the controversial subjects go, I just let them go. I miss a few of the older members that hasn't posted in a while but I don't know where they are.
Besides, next year or so, there will be a new bunch of "oldies" and the general public will be more informed with factual data about knives (I hope).
Enjoy it

Been here since Day 1. Still here. Still have no will power. Still spending FAR more on knives than I should (or have in the bank for that matter.)

It might be nice if we had a sort of directory or a listing of oldest members or members with most posts, unless you want to replace the old "senior member" category with an "emeritus" category for you 1000+ lunatics, or whatever. No big deal, but just as a lark.

How old is old?

I am over 18, but under 85!

We are still here, just don't have anything to say!

Yah, and I thought I had been forced to be a "come-lately", cuz when a lot of us moved over here from "otherO places, I had trouble with the software and couldn't get connected until day 4.
