I myself love william henry knives, and own a few. But over the years and on a few different forums, i never hear to many threads on william henry. Am i looking in the wrong places? I see strider threads all the time and chris revve threads. So what gives?

The gentlemen who prefer Wm Henry knives are primarily to be found on the BenchMade forum, IIRC.
We keep them there for their own safety. We don't do "pretty" here.
:) Yes sir, they are excellent knives.

I used my WH mother of pearl hardcore just last week, i gave it a real beat down, first opened a pack of bree cheese, then i even took a tag of my new suit.

I think the price is one reason you don't see much talk here. Very expensive for a factory knife.
I have a few T12's and they are by far the best made factory knives I have ever seen. They are made as well, or better, than many custom folders.

You don't see a lot(some, yes) of threads about expensive customs either, and I kinda put put WH in that same class of knives.

Got my first WH last week. A used T12. Love it.

I love the carbon fiber t12, ive had one and sold it then bought it again years later. Its light weight, just a great great knife.

I've seen them for sale in jewelry stores and never a knife store.

Yeah, William Henry's are bling for the rich. Maybe the guy who started this thread has to look on the Millionare's forum. For some idiotic reason my local knife store brought in the line. I should wait outside the door and mug the rich bastards on their way in.

Wrong. The one in the above pic(or one just like it) was sold here last week for less than $300.

I'm far from rich and have a few. How do you know "the guy" that started this thread is rich???
BTW- would not be a good idea for you to try and mug me:D

Sir, that is one beautiful knife: the style, the blade-shape. Gosh, I like that one.

William Henry tends towards gorgeous, eye-popping designs at very high prices. This qualifies a lot of their selection as pure collector's knives (at least for those uncomfortable with EDC'ing a $1200 knife) -- so it's really more of a niche thing. I've heard them referred to as "pocket jewelry" or "man jewelry", and looking at some of their stuff you can see why. For those with deep pockets and an appreciation for aesthetic value, WH knives are fantastic. And of course they do make some relatively affordable models as well.

I inherited this one but ended up selling it because I needed the money more than the knife:

You sir are misinformed. Yes, there are some models that are adorned with jewels and gold and such. But check out the discontinued T12 and the current EDC models. Those models are fantastic knives for very reasonable prices.

I'm retired, and have been collecting william henrys for about 10 yrs or so. Have about 160 now in my collection. Three of them cost $1000, the most expensive was $1050 for a one of a kind made in 2003 which is very fancy with gold and jewels and is the last one I bought(off ebay). At least half of them cost under $500. Many in the $500-600 range. The new models can get expensive. If you can't afford them, don't buy them. More folks buy fords than beemers also. Diff strokes for diff folks. You don't have to be rich to collect william henrys, just be patient.

If you were in the field with your holland and holland, after getting out of your range rover, wearing your rolex gmt, with your filson coat and boots on, i bet you would be carring your william henry. In the end a knife is ment to cut, its not a pry bar or hatchet, and my william henry does it perfectly.Everyone should have one in their collection.

I like WH; and I have one. I don't carry it a lot, but the knives I do carry (a Ohta, a Davison, and a Case) are just what I find myself drifting towards nowdays. The Case is inexpensive, but the others are not. Still, they cost no more than a Cris Reeve Sebenza (I have one), an Emerson (ditto), or a Busse (ditto, again). Cost less than my iPhone too. If a man keeps his knife clean, sharp, and handy, who am I to look down on his choice of tools?
