For those who don't really have the option of winter camping, Where is your first spring outing going to be and what type of camping? Our first trip will probably be to Devils Lake ND with our home made trailer. It's pretty cold yet in ND in the spring, like after ice out. It will probably be just to get out and do some camp cooking and such. I can't walk ant long distances unless I have lots of time.(Real Bum Foot)

I`m really hoping to get in a fishing trip this year, probably late May. We used to rent a cabin for a week in the Siren, Wisconsin area. I have not really gone for about 15 years, just day trips. I need a real trip!

We missed our trip to Canada last summer because of the high gas prices and both of my sons were working and going to school. I don't know about this year. I don't think they are taking summer classes but they might have trouble getting off work. It sucks being the only one retired.:thumbdn:

You are not getting any younger John, Go get those fish while you can.;) You earned it. My wife likes to fish too but she usually catches more fish than I do. EXCEPT for Walleye, she hasn't mastered the feel of those light jigs.

Going to take my boys as many times as I can this year. Lots of local places to visit.

Joshua Tree National Park. Not that winter camping is all that difficult here in Southern California, but that is the next outing I will be going on.

J-Tree is my favorite spot in the country. I've made close to a dozen trips there, from Michigan, since 1986. Make sure you post some photos from your upcoming trip, I'm sure everyone would enjoy them.
