Where can a permit carrying local Floridian legally buy an auto knife by mail order?

I searched here and the Web and can't find a plain statement. I live in Florida and have a concealed carry permit. I want to buy an auto knife. Nothing around where I live, so I'd like to order from a website.

I have seen wording that Federal law does not permit mailing across state lines. So I thought fine, I'll buy one online from a Florida dealer, if it's illegal to order out of state. I visited several websites and they all seem to have statements saying their policy is to only sell only to law enforcement, people buying for law enforcement, government, blah blah yadda yadda.

My understanding is that I'm legal to carry a concealed auto knife in Florida since I have a concealed weapons permit. But WHERE can I purchase a Microtech knife from legally if I live in Florida? Why aren't CWP holders including in the wording on dealer websites. Am I misunderstanding something? Heeeeeelp! Thanks.
 
You may wish to speak with a knife dealer at a gun show. Who knows, the dealer may have just the knife that you are looking for and you can purchase it on the spot. Just so that you know, it may be against the policy of whoever is hosting the gun show to allow such items to be displayed, so you may return home with just the dealer's business card in your pocket. All is not lost; just contact the dealer and arrange a private purchase through him or her. For the right price, they may be willing to overlook the fact that you are not law enforcement or military.

Haha, I know what you mean, as I actually work for a Mass company. I don't know why this county I'm in is so liberal but it's surrounded by somewhat rural and more conservative leaning counties. I suppose it's the university here. Have a good one everyone. I will not give up! I'll get that darn Microtech OTF.
 
Thanks for the replies - much appreciated. Just an update that I've finally got my hot little hands on a thing of beauty ...got my Microtech Ultratech today - in red with black "tactical" D/E. Mmmm, taste the Microtech goodness.

p.s. I'm suffering from something I'll call FAKS or 'First Auto Knife Syndrome'. My thumb is sore but I still can't help but pull out my Ultratech occasionally and do several quick in-and-outs. This sore thumb syndrome seems to also induce a big freaking grin. Don't worry, I work from my home.

yea, you got me curious with the "liberal county" comment. i checked your profile, no info, what county are you in where they have no gun shows? Palm Beach?

btw - no permit needed for auto knives in FL and as far as the shipping concerns, i'd GUESS that responsibility lies with the shipper. i wouldn't hesitate to order from any knife to my home (FL) unless the retailer specifically said "Cannot ship to FL"
