Morning everyone,
I'm looking to buy the power cord for a Kbac-27d VFD. The VFD arrived with the cable that does into the motor but didn't arrive with the power cord assembly from the VFD to the socket. So I need to order one. Anyone know where I can buy it or the part number on that?
Thanks.
Brian

If you are going to use 110/120VAC, any power cord that is 14 gauge or heavier will work (I like 12 gauge). Go to Home depot or any hardware store, or order one on amazon.
If running it on a 20 amp breaker (good choice) then use a NEMA 5-20 socket and a cord like this:

If you are hooking it up to 220/240VAC, then use a length of 14 gauge three conductor rubber sheath cord and use a plug to match your 220 outlet. NEMA 6-15 and NEMA 6-20 are the most common. Or, get a 220V extension cord that fits your outlet and cut off the female end. Something like this will work:

What Stacy said. I have used pre-made heavy duty computer cables (12 AWG) and just cut off the connector.

Did the VFD come with a spare cord grip? You want something that seals and is sized correctly for the cord you are using as well as the knock-out you are feeding it through. I buy mine from McMaster-Carr.

You can also make your own with your choice of cord ends and some SO cable of whatever length you need. The SO will be a bit more flexible than most of your pre-made cords as well.

My Kbac-27d didn't come with the cord. Wiring it to 110v outlet.
I'll order from your link Stacy and the cord grip Hubert.. I'll have to get as well.
Just setting this up now. Almost done redoing the benches and shelving/cabinets in the garage. Ty all.
