I read some threads a while back that mentioned a couple places that had the sabre grind BK16 in stock; but they no longer do. Does anyone know where I can find one? They seem to pop up randomly but I would prefer to order a sure thing than to take my chances. Thanks!

I would like to know as well. But from what I understand there isn't a way to know for sure. It's not listed on the box at all. :(

You mean this one....

Neither store is a supporter, so I can't mention where to buy them. You could PM me, but that's not an option either since I'm just a basic member. They are available though.

That's rubbish. If you're not allowed to mention the name of a store because they are not supporters of this forum, then I will also no longer be a supporter of this forum. This is supposed to be a place where we can openly discuss all things blade related, including where to buy them. Surely this forum puts the 2nd amendment ahead of it's own capitalist agenda (if it had one)....I also don't think it would be fair to Ethan Becker for this forum not tell a potential customer where they could buy his knife.

Not rubbish. The rules. I think you meant 1st Amendment instead of 2nd Amendment, and no, this is a privately owned board, and the ownership can censor as it sees fit.

Here's what the rules say:

Yes, we know you found a great price on the Ninja Disembowel 4000 at SuperPriceMART. We don't care. We'd prefer you support the dealers who support BladeForums.com.

As such, we don't allow deal spotting because otherwise the forums would be a quagmire of "deals" (real or imagined) posted everywhere, or unscrupulous people posting "deals" for non paying dealers. So don't do it.

It's a bit of a grey area, for about this rule, the owner of the board has noted:

Typically the deal spotting rule is to prevent people from adverstising sites all over bfc. We're not a coupons / auction / free classifieds / whatever site.

That said, it's usually best to err on the side of discretion, and it's not terribly hard to find out where the signed/sabre Tweeners went with a little bit of searching, either here or on Google.

I would email you information, but your email is disabled.

I just picked one up from dale at the knife connection two weeks ago. Thought I was getting a FFG and got a sabre

The knife in the picture is the first run, signed by Ethan (I have one). I have seen sabre grind knives that were not the first run and not signed. Any one know where to get one?

and to support Guyon on one important point...

#1 you have no rights here, afaik, as supplied by the Constitution, Federal, State, or Local law, unless those are somehow specially protected rights that you cannot give up even on private property or through contractual law.

#2 that said, every member on this forum, signed a user agreement, by which you agreed to terms. some of those terms are in play here. there are things you can not do. period.

#3 this is NOT quite the open place you thought. read the rules please.

#4 additionally, this is Ethan's forum. where he is God. he doesn't usually flex, but we, his mods, do speak on his behalf from time to time. the forum really isn't subverting his paradigm. i'm PRETTY sure he's not worried. at all.

all that said, if you no longer wish wish to be on this forum, leaving IS your right. delete your account even. it's not fair to say you support it, because you have a free account. paid members are supporters. they have the same rights as free users though for the most part. barring being able to sell, and such not.

Ok, you have made your point; you are king moderator, ruler of all. Did writing that post give you an erection? Did you rewrite it several times to ensure that it told me off while still retaining it's detached air of superiority? I bet you did. I'll leave this forum so you paid members can continue to feel good about your elitist circle where post count equals knowledge. You have averaged 4 posts a day for over 10yrs, when do you actually get out and use your knives? Thanks to Ethan Becker for making some quality knives that introduced me to the blade world, and for being a genuinely nice guy. Sorry I won't be able to buy another one of your knives because your moderators are refusing to allow someone to tell me where I can buy it. As a business owner, I would be pretty upset if people were tanking sales to advance their own personal agenda.

Bladite always has an erection. His post to you didn't do it.

*my spidey senses tell me that you'll be banned shortly*

Blame Bladite's tumescence on Guyon's nuts. That out of the way, Buckeye, you make me wish I hadn't posted what I did. Lighten up a bit, this forum is owned by an individual or more, and it's a business. You may not like the rules, and Lord knows I have issues with some of them, but it's not yours or mine to change. If following the rules here was such a chore for most, then there would be no BF. Try to enjoy it and contribute if you can...but then again, that may not be an option for you.

well. quite the post. rude and arrogant. lovely combination. this will be attended to by a super mod in due course, i imagine. we'll note that while i am the first mod hired to the Becker sub-forum, i'm not the king, nor the last. Ethan is king. i suppose i could call him and he could be a decider ;)

i wrote it once. we get trolls. cut and paste.

as it turns out, i've been collecting Beckers for over 25 years, so, if you divide 4 by 2.5, you'll find that's an even smaller number than some personal attribute i might attack; but boring. as it turns out, that actually exceeds the life of this forum. now if you want to be amazed, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/member.php/110120-Guyon - over 8 posts per day. and he definitely gets out and uses his knives, kayaks, and does cool shit. so, at a mere but functional 3.43 (thanks for thinking i'm a 4)... i probably get out more than most.

have a good day :D

I know I'm a newbie.....but seriously just google "first production run becker bk16" and you'll find it on the first page!! Not all that hard and you'll save yourself a whole lotta grief.

Most of my posts are churned out by an algorithm I executed about nine years ago. It resides on an offshore server and still functions with a near-decade-old script. That's why my posts are not very memorable.

I really don't understand peoples need to cause a disturbance... Serioulsly... You join a group that has specific rules and then complain about them.... If you enjoy causing crap for people get a job in customer service and then when they call you can spout off all you want... You will be fired shortly as a result which is ironic as you will probably be banned as quickly... Either share ideas or experince and leave the BS elsewhere... And classy move insulting the mods  this is what we call the dumbass science... Do dumbass things and suffer dumbass consequences

I try conduct myself here as if I was a guest in somebody's home. I'm thankfully this place is here and support the guidance and decisions of those who know more then I and have been doing this a long time. Lots of good people here and in my opinion, but this is only my opinion, (we all have them and have to right to have them) it's by choice that we are all here.

This is how I try and act. Where does it get you when you argue over the internet? Nowhere...

These aren't Becker rules. They're BFC rules. I understand the deal spotting rule in that Spark doesn't want this to become another version of Craig's List at the same time he helps out the folks who support the site. In terms of Becker activity... I'm sure we occasionally let slip now and again a vendor's name we're not supposed to; the mods aren't going to catch everything. But on the whole, the regular crowd here tries to avoid deal spotting out of respect to Spark. When someone tries to follow the rules, I don't think that's cause to complain or harass the moderators, who are volunteers, not paid employees.
