Any recommendations for the cheapest place to get frog skin for inlays?

It seems as though the price has almost doubled in the last year. I used to pay around 12 bucks for a large hide, but I can't remember where.

Thanks in advance.

Never heard of someone selling frog skins. Interesting. I'd like to see a pic of what that looks like on a knife.

It looks very cool almost like gater hide.

Thanks for the dealer info, Karl.

Yes, I'm using it for sheath inlays.

Also, I'm making a tricked out custom leather seat for my buddies overly-expensive 10HP bar stool racer project. I've been forging odd parts for it and helping with the overall design. The seat will be shaped like a Harley saddle and will have two frog skin inlays and lots of decorative stitching. I'll post a picture of the beast when we're done.

Here's what frog skin looks like. You can get it in most colors. http://www.ostrichmarket.com/id78.html

And here are a few sheaths with frog skin by Jay Fisher: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=634849

They also make a cowhide/frogskin look alike. Larger...so you may make the entire sheath out of it. This sheath was posted a couple days ago...but materials was not mentioned.

I get mine at the Ostrich Market too, but they are only a few minutes from my shop and I get good pricing.Sherry Lott gets hers there too as well as many other supply dealers as they are a distributor. It's easy to use and looks good.Dave:)

Here's a sheath I just recently did in Frogskin.
