Where Can I Buy Micarta Scales / Handles For RD-9-DG?

I just got an RD-9-DG that comes with the hard wood scales. They aren't to comfy so I tried looking around for micarta scales for it. Cannot seem to find them anywhere, even the Ontario site.

Do you guys have any info where I would be able to buy some?

Any chance of buying a slab of whichever micarta you want (material, color, design and thickness) remove the existing ones, trace over the slab and carve away??

It does not get any more custom than that! Probably for a fraction of what aftermarket scales go for since you are putting the labour yourself.

Micarta can be cut with a jigsaw no problem and sanded with any abrasive (Dremmel, sandpaper by hand, belt grinder, even a flap disc in a small angle grinder).

For mine I'm getting a G-10 one from TKC.

I had some TKC micarta or G10, can't recall now, on an ESEE and they felt great.

Edit- the fit/seams were not absolutely perfect, but it would have been easy enough to sand them to match up with my knife's tang

Contact OKC's CS as they have micarta handles for replacements in the past they did. Worth a Try.
