This is basically a repost because I wasnt sure if I should put this in the general discussion or this maintenance forum, but here we go.

Hello, I bought this recently second hand and noticed after purchasing that the body screw (on the blue g10) were stripped out to a phillips head screwdriver shape. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with where to buy new screws for it. I have already contacted hinderer and a few other places but they have been silent thus far.

So here we are, thanks to anyone that takes time out of their day to try and help me out. It means a lot.

It looks like they are actually phillips head screws. I hope they weren’t forced in and messed up the threads.

Are they the same as the pocket clip screws? I see knifecenter has pocket clip screws for sales. See if they’re interchangeable.

Call hinderer. Dont email them.

While functional, these don't belong there. These are Philips Hinderer Clip screws. What should be there are Allen screws; which I don't like as they damage easily .... now, Hinderer will send you some Allen replacements quickly, or you can go for any other 2-56 screws like the T6 Titanium screws that I use these days (see also https://bladeforums.com/threads/lets-see-some-hinderer-action.1422485/page-201#post-19417846).
Could you share where you buy your t6 titanium screws?

Oh nevermind I saw your thread and now I understand.

So these titanium screws should fit on a half track though? On the blue g10 portion anyway? Because if so I will buy these in an instant!~

I would give Scott at USA Made Blade a call he can probably set you up.

The other option I would try would be contact Josh at REK Sharpening and if he doesn't have screws that fit he can surely point you where to get some.

Yes. Any 2-56 screw will fit, also the Philips screws that you have in there now work - and don't worry, threads have not been stripped, unless the original owner messed up, and hopefully (s)he did not use red loktite.

Yes, the Ti ones that I mentioned will fit, they do for instance on my full-tracks. Maybe you want to buy even shorter ones. Now just to be explicit: the original half track has Allen screws in there. If you send Taylor at RH an email, she typically replies the same day, it will be no problem at all. I just don't like either philips or allen (strip easily) on my Hinderers, so I use Torx. But they are just as (cosmetically) "wrong" as the Philips screws that you have in there now.

You can buy many different 2-56 screws that will fit on ebay, Allen, Philips, Flathead, anodized in blue or black, etc. Clip screws for the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 or Military, for example, will fit. It just depends on what you like cosmetically.

Roland.
