Where can I buy strops and compounds

I am looking for a source to buy Leather strops and sharpening compounds. I just use the inside part of my leather belt now , and it actualy works pretty good ,even with no compound, but I know to get to scary sharp I need both. Any info on where to get them sure would be appreciated.

Check out this link or this link for strops and compounds. I've had good dealings with the first and have heard many good things from others about both places.
 
I can definitely recommend HandAmerican's strops and compounds. The strops have a corian base and are very solid and nice to use. For $20 I got the two-sided smooth strop with a small tub of CrO. (a little of that stuff goes a long way.)

You can ask for free leather cutoffs with your order - they gave me 3 good pieces, one of which was the maroon conditioned leather. These can be easily glued to blocks of wood to make textured, smooth or conditioned leather home-made strops. So it's like I actually got 3 extra strops for the price of one double sided one.

Be prepared to be patient. Mine took about 2 weeks and I've seen in other posts that this happens from time to time. But they threw in an extra small freebie and frankly I was so pleased with the quality that I didn't mind the wait.
