i have a couple of japanese language magazines with pictorials on his knives.

does anyone know where i can acquire a tomoyuki nemoto type81? and about how much it is? i doubt i'll be seeing it at blade show west this friday.

by far its the sweetest looking 'finger hole-wharncliffe' knife ive ever seen. :D the emerson la griffe is a distant 2nd to this knife. it can be held in a secure foward and secure inverted grip.

tadgear had one for about 10 seconds a while ago, someone picked it up before i even knew about it.

any information would be extremely helpful.

and a couple of his designs, meigetsu and eigetsu respectively.

i wonder how much it would cost me for someone to make a knock off of one of [his] knives?

Try to see http://www.ohyasuya.co.jp/indexjp.html
and contact Mr.Ideta (edge@ohyasuya.co.jp).

His knife is good at its design, but is superb with preciseness and beautiful finish. Knock-offs might spoil the very essense of his knives, IMHO.

Though Mr.Nemoto is very busy now, he's also capable of custom orders like this.

are nemoto knives strictly referred to as nemoto knives or does freedom knives make them too?

saw a japanese magazine with a nemoto knife advertised in a freedom knives ad.
