You want to quarter it, I assume? Or slit/rip it down the center length-wise for two halves? The way I rip it, since I don't have a decent bandsaw, is to hot glue it onto the edge of a short board. Then I rip it on my table saw using the fence for a guide. It's going to give you a straight cut, no roll. Want to make antler spacers with the same angle cut? Hot glue antler length on say a 1"X4" board and use your cross feed guide to cut sections. Hot glue the antler section to be cut on the top of the board on the topside edge that is away from you. You don't have to cut the board clear off: you will still have enough 1X4 still intact to hold all the pieces still attatched to the whole board. You just cut far enough to cut the section of antler. Just like you take a carrot and chop slices off. The antler is easy to remove from the wood after it is cut, but has plenty to hold while cutting.Make a cut, slide board to next cut,cut again, ect. Works great for me, been doing it for years. You will end up with a bunch of spacers with straight, corresponding cuts with an even thickness spacer.
