I have no access to make my own and was surprised to find the 10-32 is impossible to acquire it seems. My old nut cracked and so I decided to replace it but can’t find the replacement. Any info is appreciated

Buy a 8-32 tang nut. Or several. Go to your favorite hardware store and buy a #21 (0.159") drill bit, and a 10-32 tap. Or you can order those from someplace like McMaster Carr, or Granger. Drill out the hole in the 8-32 nut with the drill bit. Use the tap to cut 10-32 threads.

O.B.

I'd get a 10-32 threaded standoff from McMaster. It's basically the same as a tang nut but without the slot going across. You'd have to file the slot yourself.

They have aluminum and stainless steel in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" diameters, and a wide range of lengths. Brass only comes in 1/4" diameter, which would likely be too small.
